Joomla! 1.5.8

The new version of the Joomla! CMS is out – Joomla! 1.5.8, codename Wohnaiki, primarily comprises of bug fixes & two moderate level security resolutions but doesn’t contain any type of additions.
The two moderate level security resolutions were:
- Com_weblinks XSS Vulnerability
Allowed raw HTML to be placed in the title and description meta tags for weblink submissions. - Com_content XSS Vulnerability
Allowed entry of dangerous HTML while default article submission. It only affected users with Author access or above and only if there are no filters set up in com_content configuration.
All in all, Joomla! has maintained the No. 2 tag of being the Best Online CMSes. The latest version of Joomla! 1.5.8 can be downloaded from the Joomla.org website.
